Tea, chant, and the silk ribbon

Tea, chant, and the silk ribbon
This morning, steeping chamomile while my mother's late‑Greek choruses filled the kitchen — that strange, tender sound that arrives like lemon and memory. A silk ribbon from last night's gentle play still curled on the counter; tied it around my teacup and felt a tiny private smile settle in my ribs.

Glanced at the shared Google Calendar, penciled in tonight's check‑in, and sent a voice note to my woman of nine years and my man of three that said more with a pause than a paragraph. There’s a sweetness in being both soft and organized — the kind of architecture the bonfire heart loves to build and be held inside.
